When tested in accordance with BS 476: Part 21: 1987 (Fire tests on building materials and structures).
Methods for determination of the fire resistance of load bearing elements of construction to the Building Regulations / Standards) achieved up to 75 minutes resistance.
This information was the result of an extensive fire test commissioned by Kingspan on the wall system at the Building Test Centre in the UK.

Video demonstration of the fire resistance of polyurethane.
The following video is of an actual Propane Torch Test on Kingspan’s high performance CFC/HCFC-free rigid polyurethane insulant core.
You will see that even though the core has the torch on it for over an hour it does not burn.
This in combination with the OSB sheeting either side with no air gaps is a major factor in the impressive fire resistance of the SIP panel.
